What Kind of Dog Are You?

Take this survey to find out what kind of dog you are. It may be broken because, so far, my whole family is Siberian huskies, and I usually think of us as having different personalities.

Hooray. I am also a Siberian Husky. Not exatly Myers-Briggs, huh?

Out of curiosity and to see if the site was even capable of returning other answers, I filled out all the questions as a vain, self-centered, type-A control freak. No comments from the peanut gallery, please. The site dutifully returned the breed most commonly associated (wrongly or not) with these traits.

What did it return? You're going to make me look it up myself?

The poor, maligned poodle. The puffy haircut was originally functional: the poodle is a hunting dog, and the selective trimming balanced sleek swimming with warmth. But now that cut is just a function of the dog's owner's vanity. So the survey associates vanity with poodles.

I'm apparently a Golden Retriever, although Patrick strongly disagrees that I'm "playful, sloppy, and put everyone else first." Thanks, dear! ;)

Hmm... My comment didn't work earlier today.

Patrick likes poodles, Patrick likes poodles.

Frank claimed he tried to put in vain, type-A personality traits and got Siberian Husky. Maybe Frank doesn't understand what vain, type-A means.

I still think the Siberian Husky Lobbyists may be behind this survey.
